Look at those perfect points!!!!! I am so encouraged by your work and makes we want to get busy again. Question -is PP - paper piecing????????
Hope that isn't too dumb of a question!!!!!

Shadow Dancer 01-24-2009 03:59 PM

Thank you for all the kind words. :)

jazzy 01-24-2009 07:52 PM

Wow, pretty block. I love red and black(reds my favorite color). But I hate PP. So kudos to you!

Jeannie 01-25-2009 08:21 PM

I love that quilt!!

susan s. 01-26-2009 10:42 AM

Shadowdancer that is really nice! How big is that? I really do not get the whole paper peicing philosophy anyway. It just seems like extra work! You know when it come time to get rid of the paper. Some one, anyone! I'd be grateful if you could clue me in!

MissTreated 01-27-2009 07:19 AM

Nice! I think PPing is one of my favorite methods.

I luv it! I also love PP for really sharp points and accuracy. Now here is another one I want to make! I will NEVER get caught up!

Those colors are stunning!

jazzy 01-27-2009 05:12 PM

HI There, you do some very nice work, I am all most ready to put my black and white one together now, have to wait until I get the last three blocks next month from the BOM at the quilt store and make them.

Happy quilting,
Clara

That's just beautiful! I have never tried PP but I will when I can have someone show me. Lovely, as usual!

Shadow Dancer 01-28-2009 11:11 AM

Don't be sorry...I love your quilts!!! :)

Ohhhhhhh, this is gorgeous. Great job!

Maribeth 01-29-2009 12:57 PM

Shadow, that is beautiful. My sister is waiting on a red/black quilt, just in case that is an extra 8) .

It is so funny how many experienced quilters either don't like or have never tried paper piecing. At my lqs the woman who has advised and taught me almost all of my basic skills has never pp.

I am new, only about eight months or so, and I really enjoy pp. I think of it as idiot-proof, because pp is the only way I have made sharp even points  . Now, I don't care for removing the paper and am looking at that new material, can't remember what it is called, where you leave it in.

littlehud 01-29-2009 07:41 PM

WOW, that is wonderful. You always do such great work.

huckleberry 01-30-2009 06:29 AM

Hey Shadow,
I am still blushing shades of red because my pictures showed up on you page and I wanted to know if I could remove them so you could be "set free"!! Still apologizing!! Haven't tried posting again but maybe today!
You're work stands alone--with expertise!
Carole

Shadow Dancer 01-30-2009 06:50 AM

No worries Carole, your quilts are showing my block that when it grows up it can be big too. :)

Please do post your pictures, I can't wait to see more of your projects. :) Just remember to click "New Topic" in the pictures section and you will be on your way. :)

jazzy 01-30-2009 07:35 AM

I like your quote.

watson's mom 03-06-2010 12:11 PM

That block is a stunner.

Feathers 03-07-2010 01:49 PM

Huckleberry: I'm pretty sure Shadow Dancer isn't going to mind having your lovely quilts on her thread. Don't sweat it. To post your own pictures you just have to go to the "Picture" thread and click on "New Topic" and name it, attache the picture and you're good to go.
