WOW, and only sewing quilts for six months? Keep up the good work.

When I add the wide outer borders I try and pull them a bit, with a little more tension on those pieces than the center of the quilt. That way they don't come out too big.

No way you've been quilting for 6 mths!! I've been at it for 3 yrs and don't do the quilting yet!! It's beautiful!! I keep hinting too! So far daughter takes quilts for friends. I keep trying to find cute ideas to entice them!! Lol. Good luck!! I'm rooting for you!!!

A darling quilt for a little girl. As for borders that do not buckle, years ago I was taught to measure at the center of the quilt and use that measurement to cut the border fabric. You might give that a try. It has worked very well for me.

Beautiful quilt - hope the kids take the hint!

Wow, I can't believe you've only been quilting six months. That is an awesome quilt. Thanks for sharing.

Wow that's a beautiful quilt. I always measure the centre length of the quilt and do the binding that length and the same across ways. It helps to stop that buckling.

Really like the butterflies and your quilt is adorable!

Beautiful and your color choices are striking! 6 months, really??, you jumped to pro in no time at all, congratulations.

This is so pretty, you did a great job. I too have trouble with the boarder I have tried several things, I don't know what I do wrong.
