well, WE all appreciate the work and final quilt! I've realized that if I'm going to make a quilt for someone who won't fully understand the love and work that went into it then I choose something simple but still pretty to make.

What beautiful work! Your grand-niece will love it, I'm sure! I'm sorry they were not more appreciative of the love and work that went into it. You have some very unusual quilt inspectors, there! How cute!

Just remembered reading several years ago about a quilt given to a grandson. Grandma (the quilter) was visiting one day and realized that the quilt was being used as a make-shift football!! Doesn't that make you grind your teeth??????

its so pretty. I sure amsorry she did not do more in the way of acknowledging the gift. I had a niece ask for one, even told me the colors she wanted to match her bedroom. I got it all done and her mom gave it to her. She never even said thank you. Just no word. She will not get another from me.

Your quilt is beautiful! 'm sorry it wasn't received well. I'm sure, as others have said, it will be loved and cherished as it is used.
I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago when I delivered a baby quilt to a former co-worker. When she was pregnant, I had told her I would make her baby a quilt and she was so excited. Then when I gave it to her she was pretty bland in her thanks. That's all I got - no email, no note, no other acknowledgement. When I mentioned it to my daughter, she said, "But Mom, you worked so hard on that quilt." Oh well.

I just tremember that I learned two new skills while doing it so the work wasn't wasted. I know it was well done and maybe it's being used well and happily the Isaiah. It's no worse than making quilts for charity and never knowing to whom they go.

Please knowo that WE enjoy the pictures appreciate all the work that went into it.

Your quilt is beautiful! At least you have pictures of it and it looks like your chickens appreciate it! You should make another one just for yourself!
