You know it is sad when all of your hardwork goes unappreciated! I only make quilts for family and close friends as gifts but I do tell them a coupld of things!!! "If your quilts needs repairs, bring it back to me" "If you don't want it anymore, bring it back to me" "If you take it and decide you want to give it to someone, keep it in the family or bring it back to me" I always tell my family member that "if they do not like it, tell me ASAP!" I can make another one for that person and give this one to another family member! I think sometimes our the attachment we have to a quilt we've made!

By the way, my immediate family size from parents to granchildren (4 generations) is 60! (and still growing) I will be making quilts for them the reat of my life!

It is just beautiful work!

I don't know why we would only give quilts to people who appreciate them... I have only made three quilts but I gave them away to people whom I appreciate.

Beautiful quilt. Lovely job. I too sometimes have difficulty, when I give a quilt to someone and it is not appreciated. Lets put it this way, they don't get a 2nd one

Your quilt is a masterpiece and you should be proud and happy to have made such a nice gift for someone you love. Unfortunately, people that don't make treasures like this quilt, don't know or understand what goes into them. In the "old days" sewing was the cheap way to have clothing. Now days, quilt fabric is expensive and the time and talent it took to do this presentation is literally priceless. Your heart was in the right place and you did the generous, loving and kind thing. Way to go!

Your quilt is gorgeous.
Even if they don't understand all the work that went into the quilt (and who does unless they quilt), I'm sure they will use it and enjoy it.
