First FMQ attempt

I finally got brave enough to try real FMQ on a real quilt. I am using my new open toe foot. And it wasn't that hard to do. Looks like I still need practice LOL

I think it's pretty good for a first try :).
I'm not brave enough to try a flower, lol.
I'm still SITD and outlining things, but I've got a quilt that needs more
than just the basics.
Maybe I'll find some of that courage in the busy parts, to help
with some skinny seams.
We all got to plunge in sometime! ;)

I love using FMQ on panels or following the design in the print. It's a great way to practice. I just did one that has some birds on it. It makes them stand out. I think the trickiest part of FMQ is having smooth curves.

That's pretty wonderful for a first attempt!

I think so too, sewbiz, bc flowers are supposed to look textured.
Now to get my own project to look that good.
This is a closeup. Very inspiring, love the center.

I think that looks great!

That is striking! It really makes the daisy pop.

Way to go!

I’m still not brave enough to do much of it but I have a quilt block from my LQS that needs some FMQ on the stems and flowers. Luckily, it’s a small amount. Lol!
