This is a beautiful quilt! I love the colors you chose. Very nice.

The quilt is beautiful Cinnya! I love your colors :) I do not know what to tell you, I've used Minkee and fleece for backing baby quilts with no problem. I used lots of safety pins. It seems to me that fusible web would melt or flatten the fleece. I learned the hard way (with my very first quilt), that hot irons and minkee are not made to be in touch with each other = )
So, what are you going to do now? Sally |
Pretty fabric...I was at Sill for 3 years and tried to find other quilters lol we moved to Germany last month! Nice to see there are quilters there!
In answer to your question fleece catches depending on your machine it might have just snagged it here and there and in the end made it shift?? Thats all I could think of. |
It is a very pretty quilt and beautiful colors. When I have used fleece for the backing I used flannel for the batting and didn't quilt very closely. I think the fleece kind of sticks to the flannel and adds some stability.

So, what are you going to do now? What am I going to do?????? well do another one:D. I am stubborn like that.... this time I am going to be a lot more careful.Spraybaste, pin it even more tightly and use small tables to support the extra weight. Now that i know what to look for I will slow down and pay attention...at least that's what I am telling myself:o:o |
Thank you all for the compliments...I love the colors too:rolleyes:

Very pretty. You did a great job.

I made one also and at first had some problems but like others have said, I put some spray basting and used a walking foot to help to keep it from shifting.
