Sneed, I used Pellon Fleece (available both at Walmart and Joann) for batting in these because it seems really stable and lays nice and flat for me. Here's a link to the threads I used: https://www.superiorthreads.com/shop...%28500+yds.%29
I bought the thread at my LQS; they carry most of the Superior Threads.
