I just love that quilt. Your choice of colors is very "Louisiana." It reminds me of the Mardi Gras season. The pattern is gorgeous. Wish I had the pattern.

A lovely job. I too have some trouble with those half squares, but there are so many wonderful blocks that have them..........I just keep at it.
As someone else said, they get better with practice. Don't give up. You may want to do another basket weave and give it to a loved one. Anne |

Have you ever tried the half-square method where you begin with 2 squares, right sides together, draw a line diagonally, stitch a quarter inch on each side of the line, cut on the line. You end up with 2 squares. It works so well. No stretching, etc. The square must be cut larger than the finished size.

love your quilt....you did a great job .....one tip I've learned to do is cut my block bigger and trim is down works like a charm for me...good luck....you'll get where half squares a easy someday and wonder why you didn't like them.....I was like that with flying geese...keep quilting we love see pictures...so thanks for sharing
