I had asked for the pattern source, but after switching around the words in my google query, I found the source. Heartland Express kept taking me to a delivery company. The pattern is in a book from House of White Birches titled "Quilts For Kids". The pattern is by Lisa Christensen. I found it used at Amazon and immediately ordered it. We recently sent off a small quilt for a child undergoing treatment for Leukemia. The family friend (does not sew or quilt) who requested a quilt kept saying "He likes trains", but we did not have a train quilt made up. I think that we will have a train for a future request.

That is a very sweet nice quilt for your new little great grandson. My mother did things all the time when making things for her great grand daughters. :)

Elnan, I am glad you found the pattern. I only sit down to the computer once a day, so had not got back to answering you. Do hope you enjoy making it!

What a great pattern and your color choices are wonderful! Also - thanks to Elnan for tracking down the pattern. I may actually have the book in my library and hope that mine turns out as great as this one.
