I think it is getting too busy, you are adding blue print after blue print. I think the quilt needs a 'frame' of the dark blue.
Carry out the same blue you have already used in the quilt, framing the quilt top. Too many prints will cause your eye to travel around and around the top and not settle on anything. The dark blue will hold your eye to the center of the quilt top. |
I think it looks too "busy". If you use it, I'd use a solid color to separate it from the other floral sashing.

The piece in question is the least attractive of the pieces.I would only use it in a scant amount as it dulls down the other fabrics but if used in a scant amount it can quiet a block and make the other colors sparkle.So it certainly is usable.

I agree, I think it needs a small solid border to break up the two fabrics. I think the colours all work together tho. Just needs a little intermission between. Auntie B in Sask.
