I am having lots of fun practicing FMQ and this quilt for my DD is a perfect one to practice on. The wavy (inside) border I did 2 sides of following the wavy lines with FMQ and 2 sides with continuing spirals. The spirals were lots of fun. I'm at a loss for how to quilt the outside border though. It is a busy fabric. I've tried feathers but wasn't sure it was the best fit for the fabric pattern. I'd love some suggestions. Pretty please :)

Maybe some leafy vines or loose flowers and vines. Looking good:)

How about looping hearts (one right side up and then the next is upside down)? It's a continuous line quilting pattern.
Otherwise, I think feathers would look good too if they were larger. rr |
You could quilt around the larger flowers and loopy vine between them.

I don't quilt designs, just FMQ, I am no help. Looks good so far.

Love those spirals on the pink, you are good.
Would love to see the whole quilt, love the colors. I think FMQ would also go on the outside border, anything that keeps the pace of what you have done on the larger quilt part. |
hmmm, fern feathers? curly q feathers? all over flowers and leaves? What fun!! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

That border is so busy, it is likely not going to show up.
I like the quilt. |
Flowers... it won't be noticable whatever you decide.

So glad I asked here. Some great ideas. Will wait to see if a few more come in before I start tomorrow or Tuesday.
