You used my favorite choice of colors. AND, my 6 yr old grandson's name is Hunter. I just HAVE to make it for him. At least by the time he goes off to college. :mrgreen: I have never found a paper pieced pattern for it. Could you please tell me how to find this one? Thanks in advance. 8-) |

The paper pieced pattern was from quilterscache very easy to make just be sure you have enough fabric 5yds at least for a bed size quilt.

It is a wonderful quilt....great colors. I love the Hunter's Star pattern and did a few blocks way back when but never did anything more....they just became orphan blocks...perhaps I should try again.

That is so beautiful. Outstanding job, you did! I gave my mom several books to choose a pattern she'd like me to make a quilt for her and guess what? She picked out the Hunters Star Pattern, looks just like this, only her colors she picked out are medium blue and a light blue. I have made several quilts, but I am not an advanced quilter. Do you think I can do this pattern? It is not paper pieced, which I have never done paper piecing before anyway. I have already bought the material for the whole quilt. I am gonna do my best.

I love your quilt! The pattern is perfect and your colors really set it off. I went on to quilter cache to get the paper piece pattern but how do you go about figuring out how much material you need for a certain size and how much of each color. Tips on this would be helpful for me :-D

I found my pattern out here is what I have
#1-6"x2.1/2" #2&3-4"x 2.1/2 #4-5"sq cut diagonal Hope this helps....Jill |

Love it!! I made a scrappy hunter's star wallhanging out of beiges, burgundys, greens and blues but didn't paper piece. I can't imagine removing all the paper! You did a gorgeous job! You inspire me to make another one only full size. Thanks for your post.
