That is wonderful, Blue. I love the movement and color of the butterflies.

Blue,
You have come up with the greatest of idea's. The butterflys just add the perfect touch. Now you have me wondering, how I can jazz mine up as well!! Great work!! Thanks for sharing. :D :D :D :D :D :D |
My next project was supposed to be a case to hold my hand sewing stuff, thimble, needles, cotton, etc, out of the fabric you sent with my doll quilt sulabug. :-)

Blue, Fabulous idea, great execution and as for your energy levels.....truly magnificent.
Sorry for the loss of your "quilt inspector"... I am sure this quilt would get many pawprints of approval. |

You can always make a case out of the fabric I sent, later if necessary. I am so thrilled to hear that you will be using it. I am still reading my magazines that you sent & love them dearly!! Thank you again!! Sulabug |

What about if you finished off with a small border of the black/gray that you have between the blocks, then maybe a black border after that with some butterflies on it. I think that'd be cute! Would a simple vine appliqued be too much in a black border? Maybe just in the bottom and left corner borders. Or in opposite corners maybe. Blue, glad to hear that losing wee kitty, sent you in a very positive creative coping mode. A fine tribute. After all, she is playing in the sunshine, with the butterflies now. |
WOW! The butterflies were a terrific inspiration! How about a solid black border and then a beautiful multi-color stripe cut on the bias for the border?
Sorry about the quilt inspector.......My condolences! |
I love it!!!
