Hi Billy,
Does a green quilt just mean that you are recycling old sheets? I am just curious.....I was wondering when you were first talking about going green if it meant a special cotton or something?? beautiful quilt...I know it will sell. |
Yes I am recycling lightly used sheets, blankets and cotton dress shirts. The blankets are being used as the batting and they are of course sewn on a treadle so no carbon foot print there.
Of course everything has been been washed before I start on it but then it will be washed again to get the tons of starch I use off of it. Billy |
Looks great Billy! Snail Trail is also on my list of "one of these days"! I can't tell you how many times/different ways I've drafted the pattern.
I'll be looking forward to seeing the finished top. |
Can't wait to see it finished. I bought some flannel sheets at a yard sale that I'm using for wallhanger and tablerunner batting.
Works great. |
I love this block, too. And the secondary patterns you can create are wonderful.
I've been playing around with the idea of one lately, but I really should cross some projects off the list (containing 13 projects) before I add more... Can't wait to see progress and finished quilt! Great job!! :) |
