Oh, my gosh, that is stunning.

Yes, I've not tried stained glass technique either - even though real stained glass was the family business for about 70 years...I especially like that you didn't use black to edge the pieces as it makes it look more subtle. Well done.

Beautiful quilt - great job on the quilting as well.
|
I love it! The purple really sets it off.

Beautiful! I would love to make one. My large iris are about ready to open. The smaller white ones have come and gone already.

Your quilting is wonderful, your fabrics are wonderful, you did a great job.
I would add one thing. Put the black bias tape between the border and the main part of the quilt. Create squares in the corner making the black go from edge to edge. This will make it look like a real stained glass window. You already have the black binding which would replicate the zinc frame. It is wonderful as it is, but if you are going for the look of a real glass piece, add the extra leading lines. I have done this by just ripping out enough of the binding to tuck my black bias under the binding. |

It's so funny that you would post this today. I made that same wallhanging-started it YEARS ago and finished it last year as one of my UFOs. Well today I decided to hand it on my quilt hanger in the dining room for a taste of spring. and then i see your post. You did a good job on yours.
