I'm a total chicken when it comes to doing my own machine quilting. I only tried it with my Brother---which the bobbin casing just spazed out and from what I've read, better to junk it than attempt to fix. I have a Janome but I haven't experimented with it. Don't know if I'll get around to it.

I'm happy for you that you did your own work. It gives such a sense of accomplishment. Good for you! I think it looks just fine the way it is. As you do more, these earlier projects are now part of your quilting history, something to look back at how it all began. Keep up the awesome work!

if this is how your work looks and you are a beginner i cant wait to see what you create when you are experienced!

Thank you everyone, you are all so kind. I never had the option of getting someone else to do the quilting for me, so it was me or nothing. My 'problem' was falling in love with the intricate designs that some quilters like Sharon Schamber are achieving. I don't think I could ever attempt a full size quilt in this style, on a domestic machine - I would need to remodel my sewing room to make space to move the quilt around, and the room is so small I don't think I could do it. But it is fun trying to get similar results, all the same.
