I ordered the book for the one with the cabin and the deer and the bear, all done in batiks, I think. It is supposed to have several smaller projects so I am hoping to get some practice before I tackle the big one. I figure it will take quite awhile to get all the batiks gathered up. But I am so excited. I know I should start with something simpler, but I never do that.
Our guest room is done in a cabin decor, but sort of blah as far as color. I think something like that quilt on the wall, will make it perfect. |
Katia--you'll love the book!

I am not sure why that particular quilt spoke to me, but it sure did. There were several/many others I absolutely love, but realized they were way above my skill level. But with this one, I just didn't care. It may take awhile but I will do it.
I seldom start at the beginning of anything I want to learn though. I jump in with both feet and hope for the best. And so far so good. |
The woman I chatted with who made that one said it was pretty easy. She bought the kit--but that's no fun, I say.

Thanks for posting the beautiful quilts. I love quilt shows.

Thanks for sharing the show with us - such a great variety of pattern, color, design and individuality. I loved the birds, the watering cans and the House in the woods especially, but they are all OUTSTANDING. Whew!
