There's quite a few wild turkeys here in the Lebanon, Oregon area too! We live only a couple of blocks from the Santiam River. A newspaper article last Fall reported about 200 turkeys in the area.

We have lots too. Our bird feeders are on a second story deck railing. They fly up and eat out of the feeders. It's a real shock looking out the window and seeing these huge birds on the railing.

Love the pic. They are such a beautiful Bird. They frequent my house too. When the light catches in the feathers there is not much that comes close to their beauty. Enjoy them!
PS: Yes. They are female turkeys and they are very attentive to their chicks and stay together for more than a year and then stay togther in the flock.
