It looks great! And you did a fabulous job with the strips, it can really throw your quilt off if they aren't lined up well. It looks wonderful!

AWESOME quilt Eddie!!! Your man card gets a definite punch, 3 more and you get a beer (I think that's how it works...I'll have to ask Roben's DH to be sure though hehehe). Seriously though...I love the quilt!! Ya done good!!

Ohhh and a "HEY" to Gary!! Not sure how I missed you, but a big quiltboard welcome from another Illinois type person.

Hey Eddie! THAT'S A GREAT QUILT! I love it because it looks crisp and clean, simple lines are soothing to me. I love the plaids too. I also love the colors.

Really nice, I love plaids, have been afraid to try them, but might now. Great quilt!

Love your quilt. That gives me an ideal for a quilt for my husband for Christmas! Great job.

Personally, I don't see anything wonky about your quilt, Eddie!

I think it is great and very manly indeed!

Hi to the Illinois folks. I retired last summer and we settled in Sycamore, Ill. Now I get to quilt every day. Mplsgirl, you asked if I'm new here. I guess you meant to quilting or this board. I've been quilting for only four or five years. I have my grandmother's old Singer 66 that I piece with and my DW lets me use her Bernina 820 to do the quilting. I've been watching (lerking?) on this board since last winter and finely got up the nerve to post yesterday. Eddie's quilt got me to thinking.

Eddie, Thanks for the reply. I was going to say something yesterday that I think the choice of color is perhaps a "gender" thing. But now that all the women are talking about the "manly" quilt you made and how nice it is and different from what they do and you say that your stash is very different from your wife's I think there may be something to it. It's probably cultural but it is. So now I'm more satisfied with my color choice....because I like it. We are all different and that's what makes the world great.
