Children tend to like bright and busy, and since I refuse to grow up, so do I :D I like all the qult designs you have shown us.... whatever you decide will be beautiful! :D

what if you put 2 solid colors in the opposite corners and leave 2 busy squares in the 4 square blocks? Just a thought. Or maybe you could put a solid sashing between the blocks.

Could you put the white part of the log cabin to the outside and see if that looks strange or interesting. love the busy squares.

DA--I tried the log cabins in--but it was crazier than it is now. :roll: I do love your solid block idea! I could quilt a shape on it for little ones to trace with their finger!

I think they are perfect for children. My grandkids love to have lots of different things to look at on their quilts.
