[quote=cowgirl]I found the cups and saucers in a couple antique shops. There were lots in Berlin, Ohio. Found a couple in Marietta, Ohio. They are pretty cheap b/c there are just one of them. Now I'm addicted to going to antique shops. Someone help me!
[quote=cowgirl] I've never LOOKED for old cups and saucers------don't know if I could find any here. But I will look. ----------for next Christmas |
They are all so pretty, my favorite is the 5th one.
|
Absolutely beautiful!!! WOW!!! Your quilting designs make them a delight to view! Real eye candy with the tea cups as inspiration for the choice of fabrics. What very fortunate friends.

Those are absolutely the most beautiful
"mug rugs" I've ever seen. The name just doesn't do them justice. You are a very talented gal!! Thanks so much for sharing. You have some very lucky friends who will treasure them I'm sure!! Each one is a gift of love. Hugs, Sharon |
These are just the wonderful, dreamy & vintage! Your friends will adore them!

Really don't have a pattern. Just try to make them 8or 9 inches X 11 or 12 inches. I just make everything like for a quilt only really little. Pinswheels, made 4 from 2 5 inch squares. Use a lot of 2 1/2 inch for squares and 1 inch to make stripes. Dresdan plates started with 3 inch strips. If it is too big just cut them down. Have fun, if you don't like what you started with just change to something else. Nice thing, if you don't like it there isn't much fabric wasted.
