Lovely quilt; how big is each square?
rcrisson .... I cut the squares 9 inches and the batting 7 1/2 inches. And for a queen quilt, I used 132 squares .... 11 across and 12 down. The hardest part, for me, for trying to get the colors right, where they wouldn't be all grouped together ... I finally laid them all out on the floor, stacked them and numbered each row. They are FUN and EASY :) jody |

Missus ... to get the fuzzy edges, you sew wrong sides together (on the front of the quilt), so all seam allowances are towards the front. The back of this quilt (off white Kona), looks finished. After it's all sewn together, you clip down to the seam line and then wash/dry it (preferably at the laundromat); and each washing rags up a bit more. This had only been washed one time. But I am thrilled to have it on my bed .... it is just a nice weight for summer :) jody |
