Congrats on finishing your first quilt. I like the colors and the pattern. The backing fabric is beautiful and fits so well.

Thank you Sylvia. I'm really nervous about it. I'm not a seamstress at all. At first, even getting the machine threaded correctly was a challenge. This one has lots of "issues" with some crooked seams and points not lined up just right. But the woman I am giving it to will be very understanding. She has been supportive of me trying to learn. I have so many ideas in my head and patterns in my to-do book; but it will take a long time for me to attempt most of them.

Just dig in and go for it.

Doesn't it feel great to finish a quilt? This one looks really nice. Great colors and BTW- we all have issues! lol

I see why you love the colors... It turned out SUPERB! and if you this one is done first-then this is your first.
Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see the King sized one.

Its so cheerful She is definetly going to love it- I've been quilting almost 40 yrs and I don't think theres been one that I didn't find something wrong with it-but apparently I'm the only one that see's the few bad seams/points-my MIL said quilting is suppose to relieve tension=not cause it

Absolutely beautiful, very good color choices, she will love it. FMQ quilting would really set it off, too bad you don't have time to do it, or at least squiggy lines down it and across. Just keep making quilts and you will be surprised how good you will get.
