Very productive day, the animals will love them!!! So nice of you to spend a day making them!

Great use of scraps!

Great idea and I see that the "quality control" crew was right there on duty.

One year my guild managed to make 185 pet beds in one day. THANK YOU for thinking of the shelter fur babies!!
|
Nice job using the leftovers. What a great thing to do.

How very sweet of you to make beds for the furry kids. Love the first picture, you can just see that Skagway it thinking - ooh, looks like a great pile to cuddle in! And then he does!

I love doing this sort of thing with my scraps! I sometimes use old pillowcases (mine, or from a thrift store). When it is 1/4 full, I sew a straight seam across, then stuff another 1/4 full, sew across again, etc. That way when the humane shelter throws them in the wash, the stuffing doesn't all migrate to one end. I love your pillows! Good for you!!!

I did that too. Cut up lots of scraps of fabric & batting with my rotary cutter, made pillows and brought them down to the shelter. I felt so good.

Thank you for this thread. You have inspired me to do the same thing. I like the idea of sewing channels. I now have a pillow case to put all of my scraps in. You are super to do this. Hugs. BrendaK

I use all my fabric scraps....too small to do much with, for the same thing. The animals love having a nice soft bad and the "pillows" can be washed without worry. Our Quilters Guild donates all their little pieces for this.
