Pretty quilt!

That's a beautiful quilt and I can't imagine anyone not loving it!

Love your Mexican Star quilt. I have made 2 or 3 but never one for myself-which I intend to do at some point. I certainly understand your feelings over the matter. I have made a quilt for all family members with varying responses and uses ranging from worn out with use to never seen again. Now, I find great joy in making quilted items for a boutique crate show that benefits a cause that I support. People who buy these items appreciate them or they would not purchase them. I feel good about the effort.

We must always be mindful of the receiver when we give quilts as gifts. It's a great quilt but if it's not right for the receiver you won't get the desired response.

Love the color combo. It is amazing how many people have respect for the time effort and $$$ that goes into something. Step-daughter picked out one I made then I see it used as the dog's bed!!!! The last thing she will ever get from me! At least it's back to you and pooh on her!

That receiver has to learn some manners. It's truly lovely, give her my address.

Unfortunately, not everyone reacts well to our gifts made with love. I think it's beautiful.

It's a beauty. Evidently the receiver has no taste - certainly no tact.

I think it is really pretty. What a shame you daughter didn't like it. Maybe you can keep it & make her one she likes or something. I love the colors too!

It is a wonderful quilt. Since it is your daughter, and I'm guessing you can speak openly with her, why not ask her to explain how she feels about it. I can be she appreciates your effort but something about it doesn't resonate with her. It could be the color combination, or the pattern or maybe she doesn't like the look of lots of triangles. And the discussion can lead to a better understanding. Maybe you can make her a different one that is more appealing to her.
