How pretty. Sorry, I'm no help with a name.

craftybear 04-03-2012 06:15 PM

beautiful quilt, love the design you came up with

Rubesgirl 04-03-2012 07:03 PM

Really vibrant and beautiful. Whatever you choose to name it, it will be treasured. I like "Skittles," it reminds me of colors and fun.

pacquilter 04-03-2012 09:04 PM

"Diamond Girl", like the old song from the 70s.

I just love scrappy quilts and I have a large stash of 2" squares just waiting for a project - would you mind if I copied your idea? I think your quilt is absolutely beautiful and there is something very satisfying about using up stash fabric.

oooh so pretty!!!

Ditto! I love this scrappy (did you post in on the scrappy thread also? If not, please do) AND I saved a pix of it as inspiration. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us!

catladyquilts 04-04-2012 02:55 AM

Diamonds in the Rough was my first thought. I see another saw the very same thing as I...

sewnsewer2 04-04-2012 05:01 AM

Beautiful quilt!! My idea for a name was no where near any of the others. Don't know why but I thought of "Island in the Sun" when I looked at it. All others sound good too!

sew4nin 04-04-2012 06:58 AM

I Love It! I printed a picture of it to put in my scrap quilt notebook. I will use it for inspiration. I'm no good with names, though.

northern lass 04-04-2012 08:12 AM

One of the nicest scrappy quilts I've seen. Love the bright colours.

BrendaK 04-04-2012 08:20 AM

How about, " Just for Brenda", (ha, ha) Love the quilt. You did good girl. What is the size of the squares? Someone said 2" is that the size?. If it's ok with you I would like to try to make one like it. It's beautiful and so fresh looking. Thanks for sharing. BrendaK

Optical Illusion! When I first looked at it, all that caught my attention was the scrappy blocks. I read through the posts and went back up to the pic and all I saw was the white diamonds. There are a couple of interesting patterns in the scrappy blocks that pull my eyes to the right...how fun!!!

suebee 04-04-2012 09:07 AM

Really awesome. How about "Picnic in Spring" or " Picnic in Bloom??

Of course I'm sure someone has already come up with this pattern somewhere, LOL. I love this one and parting with it is going to be hard to do. Will have to make another one for myself.

The white part reminds me of a lattice or trellis board for garden vines to climb on, so how about 'Trellis
Squares' or 'Latice Squares' for the name?

callen 04-04-2012 09:39 AM

Lovely quilt.

tatavw01 04-04-2012 05:10 PM

beautiful great job

EvelynJ 04-04-2012 05:12 PM

I would name it "Diamonds Galore!" and then tell everyone it's mine and I am keeping it. Nice work.

coachmatthewsvhs 04-05-2012 02:57 AM

Beautiful quilt..... I've copied a picture of it so I can add it to my to do list!

TacoMama 04-05-2012 03:36 AM

Wow! Can't believe there are so many 2" squares! The quilt is beautiful. I would hate to part with it, too. If you were going to keep it, I think I would call it "My diamonds"!

orangeroom 04-05-2012 03:43 AM

That's a very pretty scrappy quilt! Who of us doesn't have enough stash to do this? However, it probably comes down to who is actually going to take the time and energy to actually make it? It is a beautiful quilt though. I think I'll take a pic too and add this to my 'to do list.' Thank you for the inspiration! Since I collect 2 1/2" strips from left over projects, I may make mine with squares of that size instead. Have a great day!

Cacklinghen 04-05-2012 04:08 AM
