Beautiful!

What's a tube quilt?

champagnebubbles 01-19-2011 08:16 AM

I love your colors

LucyInTheSky 01-19-2011 09:19 AM

I love the colors, especially the red. And yours points/seams come together so well.

Would I be correct that you did a strip set of white-red-white, and one of blue-white-green, attached those, and cut? I've done a similar pattern, but did a center square, add 4, strips of color 2, add 4 strips of color 3, and repeat for each block. Your way seems substantially simpler!

This is just beautiful. It might be easy for you, but for some of us, we must have the details of how you did it. Can you do a tute for us? Pretty please?

I love your quilt. Very often, I like to make a 'no-brainer' quilt.

As I posted earlier I really like your quilt. I am new to quilting. I can figure out how to make the blocks but the part I can never figure out is how much fabric is needed to make the quilt the size I want it. Can you tell me the size of your quilt and how much fabric you needed? Thanks

BizzieLizzie 01-19-2011 04:44 PM

It may not strain your brain, but the finished product boggles your mind. lol! Your quilt is outstanding!

freezeframe03 01-20-2011 06:37 AM

I know this will insult others, but I just gotta say, this is the first tube quilt I've ever seen that I actually like. Maybe it's because it doesn't look like all the others. Love the colors and the design is different which is probably why I like yours.

AngieS 01-20-2011 06:39 AM

I am in that same mood right now, and your pretty quilt inspires me to do one like it. I like that it is easy, but yours also looks so pretty and crisp. I like your colors.

Beautiful color palette!

BATIKQLTR 01-20-2011 08:47 AM

Very nice job!! It looks so "classic quilt". Peaceful but colorful.

Has anyone tried the kaliedoscop cuttings that Crlyn posted the YouTube video for? They look like the pieces fit together nicely.

Here is what she posted:
