You have a colorful, busy pattern, stitch in the ditch for the majority and if you have a border do a SW design stitch, otherwise you lose so me of the beauty of the center if you stitch all over its face.. If your going SW think of what your representing.. the earth, the wind, etc.. your edge design surely there are some Navajo designs you could use.. If you can find a stitch for coyotes to do on the border that would blend all together. Or a fox or a bear but in a totem style vs cutesy. Simple but each animal carries a spirit within it so the design would bear the energy (in theory) of the animal that is guarding/guiding the item and its owner. Just a thought.

Santa Fe Trail. I got it last summer so I hope it's still on there.

Three very hard words to hear - "quilt as desired". When I look at it I see large areas in the tan and blue that could be heavily quilted if you wanted to. Some thoughts that come to mine are Kachina dolls, or arrows, something to keep the Southwest theme.

I found it. It looks complicated but will give me a good idea to work from. Do you have the sizes of the pieces you used instead of the little pieces they call for? It looks like you made your bigger.
