I have nothing to add to advise you. I think you did a great job on your first effort! I think you are ready to jump in there!

You did a a great job.
The best advice I can give is watch or buy Eleanor Burns, Quilt in a Day.
She goes into much more detail than other teachers. She even tells you which way to press your seams. She uses the simplests methods.
If your blocks are not quite the right size dont worry just use the size you made and adjust the sashing to fit. Even Eleanor admits her blocks are not always the size they are susposed to be.
Watch her for free at Brightcove.

I love it.. I especially LOVE the colors.... Great work.. and by the way those were first impressions BEFORE I read the post.

Get Busy!

I think it looks just fine. Nice colors & seams match. You're ready to go. I do agree it is a good idea to make a sample block.

just wanted to say THANKS to everyone!!

I am going to practice the block. I already have it cut and will start piecing it tonight - I hope!

Thanks again for the support!

Looks really nice to me. Your seams meet perfectly, as far as I can see. I like the pattern, too.

Looks good to me!
And this was HAND PIECED?
OMG! No way mine would have come out THAT good!

Yes I agree with everything that's been said, especially about the sample block. If you are a beginner then things can only get better. Well Done
