I bought my kenmore a few years ago and I really like it. I never have used a brother. I think all brands can have a dud year, if you liked your brother, I certainly would try again. I do have 4 live Brothers and they all work nicely if I ask them sweetly, none are computerized yet. I also have 3 Sisters and they sometimes work better than the Brothers.

Yep! That is my machine...............That isn't a good thing to hear..........I will enjoy it as long as I can and remember what you told us. I have had my about 2 1/2 to 3 years. So I had better keep a heads up........... :(
