Welcome to the board Heather. I have found so many wonderful folks and have learned so much. I took a quilt lesson years ago and then life got in the way, so am just an intermediate beginner. I used to sew a lot for my kids when they were little, but they have been all grown up for a while now...so, I am now out of grad school and addicted to quilting!

Your quilts are awesome...the Zipper quilt just takes my breath away...I never would have the patience to piece all those little pieces, never mind the organization factor ;-)

The other quilt reminds me of the things my oldest DD loved when she was little. She still likes Strawberry Shortcake!

Hi Heather. I'm Phyllis from outside St. Louis, Missouri. I could not believe there could be so many nice people in one place, as there is here. I have been quilting about 44 Years. took several years off here and there and sewed clothes for myself and 2 daughters, pjs for my son, dolls and doll clothes. When machine quilting became popular and more feet, knowledge Etc., is when I really got back to it, all I do with my spare time. I have 6 Grands and 1 Great Granddaughter. You will enjoy it here. There are several very talented men quilters here also. Your quilts are gorgeous, I've never heard of a zipper quilt, I wouldn't have the patience for it.
