Well, if your niece should decide it just isn't quite right for her, I'll PM you my snail mail address & send postage too!! Blue is my favorite color & the pineapple block is terrific! Can hardly wait to see it finished :D:D

Thanks everyone! I really didn't know how big the blocks would be when I started. They are averaging 18" (lol). Since it is my first attempt, I am not sure about the seams matching, so if they are noticably off, I may end up sashing the blocks. I know that would take away from the effect, but I want the quilt to be pretty. What do y'all think?

Since I'm pretty new to quilting, I don't know an answer to your question, but the quilt is going to be beautiful! I love this block.

Wow girls they are pretty and I think you would be okay to sash it if you choose to ....that is how new patterns and quilts come about.....:-).....Thanks for sharing

i'm on my 3rd pineapple quilt and i haven't sashed any yet, they look so much better without sashing between the blocks. i love the colors in yours. i'll post a pic of the first one i did.
