Love it! My mom taught me to sew many years ago on a Singer treadle sewing machine. Wish I had that machine! She made many quilts and hand tied them every one of them. As years went on, she always wanted to continue doing them, but put her energy into crocheting beautiful doilies and tablecloths, and crocheting many afghans. Now that I have lots of free time (3 children, last one just married and out the door-Yay!) I am pouring myself into getting back into sewing and quilting and learning from all you wonderful friends! I am getting addicted to reading the posts. I purchased an ellegante 2 years ago (believe it or not, it was DH that insisted we buy it, as I hesitated paying so much, even with the big discount we got) and after a few trials and regretting the purchase at first, I now cannot be without it. I really admire your moms embroidery handiwork and the end result of this beautiful quilt. Makes it all the more special for you and generations to come. I love the embroidery my 'Baby' does and am now inspired by your quilt to put some great embroidery designs into my own. Thanks for sharing!
