The orange would work. However, I would be inclined to go for a black and white stripe or check. I feel it would look more funky for a boy. To my mind, a polka dot would look a bit feminine.

Yea, that pink is girlie, theres no way a boy would have pink in his room. I would go with solids, blue, green and purple.
Boy colors. I would make blocks using all three of these colors to add a lot of color and interest. I would also use children prints to piece the block. ericas.com has some great black and white fabrics with dogs, bugs,stars. And some really great black and colored fabrics. :thumbup: |

The yellow in the black fabric. Yellow and black are striking together, or since it is for a boy, maybe the blue.
