JJean 01-25-2013 06:46 PM

HOLY COW is right! Awesome! Love it!

auntpiggylpn 01-25-2013 07:00 PM

I am speechless! What a magnificent job you did! I've thought about doing this a couple of times and just couldn't wrap my brain around it! You said that each block of the cross stitch was 1/2". Did you start with 1" squares and they finished at 1/2" or did you start with 1/2" and finish at 1/4"?

QuiltingLaura 01-25-2013 07:25 PM

That is an amazing quilt. Just beautiful.
Thank you AlienQuilter I just watched the video and it was great. I will have to try it.

I think I will go to EB website and see if she has a book on this. I think JoAnn's sells that gridded interfacing......do I dare pursue this????? or will it be another ufo??????

The interfacing doesn't make the quilt bulky, but it does have more "body". You don't notice it by the time it's sandwiched and quilted. Like already said, the hardest part is keeping track of what piece goes where.

Nanasewso, your floral wallhanging is absolutely gorgeous. And maybe a tad too inspiring!

WOW! That's spectacular!

I tried cross stitching years ago but it always caused my eyes to cross! haha I don't know what they would do if I attempted this. I admire your creativity.

That's gorgeous! and amazing! You did good!

nanasewso 01-26-2013 06:10 AM

Thanks for all you comments on the wall hanging. I didn't use the interfacing method, just the usual block to block sewing. Yes, it did take a long time.

Mariposa 01-26-2013 06:17 AM

Wow! Such a pretty piece! Lots of work in that one! :)

Sylvie45 01-26-2013 06:30 AM

Spectacular. You are an artist!!! I would have this displayed for more people to enjoy. A good place would be your local library. We have regular displays at our library of the works of local artists in all mediums. It would be an inspiration and perhaps motivate some young visitors to become involved perhaps even set up some classes to generate interest. You are a truly gifted person andi thank you for sharing this with us. Bea

oldquilter 01-26-2013 09:09 AM

Wow, this is totally amazing. Did you come up with this idea on your own. You are truly an artist! I used to cross stitch all the time, so I LOVE the way your wall hanging looks!

twinkie 01-26-2013 09:15 AM
