Auntie Em 01-26-2013 11:34 AM

Wow....that is AWESOME!!! It just takes my breath away!!! So beautiful!!!

fireworkslover 01-26-2013 01:18 PM

One of the gals in my guild makes lots of quilts with this method. Hers are mostly huge tho. She did the "Last Supper", which is 7' tall X 20' long. Absolutely amazing. She even cut some squares in half to add more realism to some of the faces.

javin22 01-26-2013 01:20 PM

Oh my heavens!!! Looks like an insanity project, but it is just stunning. Fantastic!

bibi 01-26-2013 02:24 PM

Indeed, this is incredibly awesome work.

cathyvv 01-26-2013 02:47 PM

Amazing! If I'd tried this, there would be a bunch of tiny squares laying around until I decided to toss them in the trash. I love what you've done!

JoanneS 01-26-2013 03:12 PM

Absolutelu beautiful. It reminds me of the cross stitch patterns in the old magazines my mom had. You are a meticulous sewer!

Jingle 01-26-2013 03:53 PM

ladypetite 01-26-2013 05:46 PM

Awesome......very interesting concept and it has made a beautiful work of art.

jeanharville 01-26-2013 07:04 PM

This is gorgeous beyond words. I'm amazed at the patience and precision this most have taken. I think my fingers are to big to work with 1/2" squares not to mention the eye strain. Well, it's art in the first order. And thanks for sharing with us.

sewdamncute 01-26-2013 07:49 PM

Great wallhanging!

Pilgrim 01-26-2013 08:40 PM

Eleanor Burns has gridded paper to put this on. Then you just sew across all rows folding as you go and then start on the side and go across. I just bought some on clearance and want to try it. Great quilt.

luvstoquilt 01-26-2013 08:42 PM

That is outstanding...you are an exercise in patience for sure! Take that to a show!

terri bb 01-26-2013 08:46 PM

i am speechless first off at your patience second off at the beauty of the pattern! its amazing!

starshine 01-26-2013 08:46 PM

Ditto everyone else's comments. You have done a remarkable job interpreting a cross stitch pattern into this wall hanging. oops I didn't realize how many pages were here, but even though I haven't read them all any positive ones are ditto.

You might want to look into Quilt National to enter it in their show. They have one every other year and this is the on year.

ranbro 01-27-2013 04:58 AM

Auntie B 02-02-2013 09:28 PM

Oh ya, it is stunning..... and so too much work for me... I've done my fair share of cross stitch, and still have one piece that needs to be finished, it is on linen, and is of course, a pattern of dresden quilt block with home sweet home, not sure it will ever be finished.... great job, and thanks for posting!!!!

Quiltchen 02-04-2013 11:58 AM

Helen S 02-04-2013 01:09 PM

What a wonderful idea - it's beautiful! Did you use the fusible grid pellon? LOVE that stuff for this type of project!
