Beautiful!
I love blue and white.
I'm clapping here too!

Gorgeous!!! Part of your learning experience on this top must have been how to make them near perfect because that looks amazing!

What are the quilting plans for this top?

It turned out beautiful. After all your troubles I think that quilt is worth it. Great job.

Thank you very much for the compliment. For a long time, I've been wanting to make at least one with just blue fabrics or blue & white but I didn't get motivated until I saw the little catalog photo, which is why I had the fabrics in my stash for so long.

As to the quilting: my hand quilting is not bad, but soooooo slooooow; my machine quilting not good, so I have a backlog of tops stored away that need to be made into quilts.

I think I'd like feathered circles in the 6" squares, but haven't thought about the rest of it yet.

Thanks, littlehud. I never did have any troubles with this blue one (other than needing much more dk. blue fabric than what I had); it went together easily and I enjoyed doing it. I learned NOT to use flimsy fabric ever again (the light blue is really poor quality) and I learned to be generous with the spray starch (there's a lot of triangles in this quilt) and, since I had no pattern, I learned a couple of other lessons to do with cutting the pieces the right size ... I had to use my iffey & rusty math skills and I didn't always get it right the first time!

The big trouble I've had (re: latest stupid move) involves my very next quilt project (French Braid), but the situation is now looking much better and I expect to get my dream FB quilt made after all.
