The pink looks like a modified orange peel, I think your wedding ring edges are the 'correct' way they made them many years ago. I have one that my great grandmother made & its like that.

According to EQ's Block Book, #1 is called True Lover's Knot. Great quilts! Sandy 64

Beautiful quilts! Don't you wonder where ours will be 100 years from now :)

That is the way my MIL did her double wedding ring quilts.

They are so gorgeous

Beautiful quilts, lucky you. Don't know the name of the block on pink & white one either. I love the edge on the DRR. I made one a few years ago and finished it like that.

It is called True Lover's Knot. I have the pattern in a book titled sew quick Two-Color Quilts. I would be happy to send you the instructions if you would like, just pm me at [email protected].

What treasures......I'm sure they have found a wonderful home.

You can get pictures of the construction of this block in a book titled "The Melon Block" by Elisa Wilson. She also has templates available. I have made the top and it turned out beautifully.
