I actually like the first option better. I think it sets off the center blue fabric better. Whichever one you pick, it will look great!

Well it is apparent we won't be much help either as it looks like we like them both too, so far. My vote is for #1

Both lovely, but when you squint version 1 gives the effect of full blocks, and version 2 the 4 patches really jump out at you, so it really depends on which look you prefer.

The first one puts the emphasis on the print fabric by bringing the lighter colored blocks forward as a whole unit. The second one puts the emphasis on the four patch because they sit on top and everything else recedes as a result. Your choice, but the first one has far more interest than the second, imho, and has a very oriental feel to it.

Option #1 will look much more intricate once it's sewn I think...
Option #2 will be brighter and busier... So, it depends on which you are going for |

I think #1 will give you more movement around the quilt. I really like your blocks! Paisley is one of my favs.
