I am having problems understanding the first part. We are going to actually have 3 layers....back, batting and top laid down. Then we take the strips and pin to top edge? Am I understanding right? We end up with 4 layers?Thanks for help. Like the quilt you've done.

thank you so much . that did help a lot . but the new question is how do you finish the edges of the strips. thanks for the help

About finishing the edges, look a couple of messages back and she tells you. She leaves them raw and they fray when washed. You can also turn under the edge a little and sew down that way if you want a more finished look.

Didn't, they are under the binding.

I just eyeball it...You know in life nothing is perfect...and don't looks too close...
