Besides some of the squares not lined up, I decided to hand quilt it (just about a quarter inch from all the straight lines). In doing so, I felt a little nub between the batting and the top. Oh, oh, I didn't catch a pin and it was still inside. I kept working with it until I got it out. It left a little hole in the top. I used liquid stitch on it, which covered most of it up (should have appliqued something over it but I didn't think of it). Then, when I put the binding on and completed sewing all the way around, I discovered I had started on the back side, so I ripped it all out and did it over on the right side. There must have been something else that happened but I can't think of it now.

Darling quilt! I'm going to try my hand at this pattern eventually... so many things I want to do! Blessings on you!

It turned out wonderful! Excellent first quilt. And now you know what not to do ;)

Most "first" quilts don't look as wonderful as this! Don't be so hard on yourself. It's really, really nice! And after a few washings...it's amazing how "quilty" it starts feeling. This little boy will grow up loving it!
