Well done. Love the fabric. I would go for a simple quilting design. I think that heavy quilting detracts from the design and fabric. To me the purpose of the quilting is to hold the 3 layers together not the feature.

I love your quilt and would love to know the pattern. My daughter suffered a big loss this year and I would love to make
her this quilt to cheer her up and remind her God is in control!<style id="_clearly_component__css" type="text/css">#next_pages_container { width: 5px; hight: 5px; position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; z-index: 2147483647 !important; } </style>

I got the pattern from charismascorner.com . She has made several and the layout is quite simple. After I got all the squares cut out I spent about 2 hours sewing them into rows and then about 2 hours sewing the rows together. I used 5 3/4 unfinished squares to end up with a smallish queen size quilt.

I made this one for a similar reason I have a nephew who was in the National Guard for many years and is struggling now. He was recently diagnosed as 80% disabled due to PTSD and really hates what he feels is the negative label.

If you enjoy hand sewing, you would probably enjoy quilting. I simply do not have the patience for hand quilting--I gave it a good try but ended up having a friend finish the project! I like you quilt top.

I would seriously consider doing the quilting yourself! Professional quilting so often is very beautiful, but often overpowers the design of the quilt. A cross is a symbol of simplicity and love. It doesn't need a lot of fuss. So I vote for hand quilting.

I agree whole heartedly!
