I used two stray blocks for a threadcatcher in my hand sewing hatbox[ATTACH=CONFIG]550777[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]550778[/ATTACH]

heres what I did. Sewed 2 blocks face to face, leaving an opening to flip out....top stitched around, sealing that opening...then played with darts til I got the depth I wanted, pinned, sewed in those darts. Sewed the bottom to the same design ( hex) for a flat bottom and done! I'm guessing basically the same for square, rectangle shape....maybe batting?
