I have been working on making a paperpieced pattern based on a 6 foot tall paper representation of a library shelf unit for my school librarian (and very dear friend) who is retiring. The pictures show the photo of the 3 shelves that I am doing,(the dark lines are mine to trace), the dark brown is the case, the top brown (with gold sparkles) is the inside of the case, and the light brown is the backing, the other two are the fabrics I will use to make the book spines (it's an elementary school with lots of colorful books). I have to have it done by Jan. 30! And my scanner is not scanning my pattern at 100%, so I will need to go to the office store on Monday to make patterns.

how adorable..............cant wait to see the finished piece.

That is going to be great. And perfect for a librarian.

It will be a challenge, but you'll get it done. You still have a couple of weeks & you can work on it as you go. Set yourself a goal of how much to get done each day. Happy quilting & she'll love it.
