Hooray for Grandmothers and the time they take passing along those skills!

I see you let your GD sew on your quilting maching, too. I love that the speed can be turned down, eliminating one more thing to control.

Good for you, and for Sara! She's adorable, and so is her project.

Sara is homeschooled too, but she lives 6 hours away. She and her mom lived with us when she was born. She's very special to us. Now she has a baby brother and I'm missing it all it seems.

You sound like one terrific and caring grandma. Sometimes, our grandkids keep us so busy and when they go home, we may be relieved and that they are safe back in the hands of their mom and dad, but then I miss them already and feel so sad. I mean just as soon as they are leaving my driveway. Sometimes, I almost cry.

Of course, I pick up my quilting and all is well. Let me mention too, my grandson that's making the wallhanging, I've taught him to use my stiletto so he will keep his fingers always away from the needle. I also sit right there with him working on other stuff not letting him know that I am watching him out of the corner of my eye so I won't make him nervous. He is doing a really good job.

What a cute project and a cute grand daughter.

She looks like she had a great time! Look at that smile!!

What a bond you are making. I can't wait for Olivia to be big enough to share things with.

She does look like she needs to be sitting higher in her chair. Maybe a large phonebook under her seat with a pillow over top and also something on the floor to raise the foot pedal?

Kudos to you grandma for taking the time to teach the younger generation the perfect skill! Your DGD is drop-dead gorgeous!!! Watch out for the boys!
