To PaintmeJudy, post #2540, that quilt is beautifully done. Love it and the colors you used. Thanks for sharing.

After reading each and every post in this topic, all I can say is wow. Our GGG mothers made scrap quilts to keep their families warm, if that reason was good enough for them, it is good enough for me. Since I have never made a quilt from a fabric collection or someone else's fabric choices, I guess you called say all of my quilts fall under scrappy. I also do not aspire to show any of my quilts, I am OK with 'done is better than perfect' too. I still work to make them better with each quilt, but I don't lose any sleep over 'not quite perfect'. I started this hobby to keep my hands busy, and it still meets that need. I will continue until it starts causing stress....where is that chocolate bar I just had? Lol!

I really like your star design! Did you find it in a pattern?

Izy, that is beautiful. I would love to make Oma's similar as I can. Would you share a pattern?

Star Struck (Bonnie Hunter ~ quiltville free pattern)

Just finish, top. Size approx. 70x90 Scrap, scraps and more scraps, will I ever use them up.

Mondo Bags small and large. The larger one I made with HST (aka goose poop/left overs) that I had sitting around to use one day . . . the large bag takes 208 2.5 squares ... I had 204 in a bag. ;)

In a years time I have made 2 scrap lap quilt, 2 baby scrap quilts and 3 scrap Mondo bags. And 7 clothes line baskets. And I STILL have scraps cluttering my sewing room.

Just finished my mysterytrain #8, controlled scrappy. Also, 2 L/E scrappies (don't really like the house one, but someone will). I love following this thread...lots of beautiful quilts to drool over!
