I got a nice surprise in the mail today from my SQA.
A pretty quilt pattern called "Dreams of Sedona" and
a packet of paper piecing patterns called "smokey Mountains". It was sent to me from Ellens Quilt Creations
with a note saying "Welcome to March. Everyone should visit
Sedona once, even if only in a quilt. From you SQA".
The Sedona pattern gives me ideas too. I think the center
section would make a really unique table runner.
I've got a middle ear thing going on right now and I'm
dizzy all the time. Doc says it just has to run its course
as it can't be cured, but am on medication for the dizziness
and nausea. I'm thankful for the medication, it really helps, but it also keeps me housebound. Hubby says he'll
take me to my favorite fabric shop when I can walk a
straight line. LOL. Anyway, thanks so much to my SQA and
I'm going shopping as soon as I'm able.

If that's not an incentive to feel better fast, I don't know what is! Take care - be well and do it quickly! :-D

Catlady,

Your comment about "walking a straight line" made me giggle: when I had something like that, my husband once told me that I should have a good, stiff drink ... said it would make me walk straighter! Something about cancelling out each other.....

what a guy, right?

Nice SQA gifts, all!

Odessa

Did they give you a name for the ear problem??????????? I am only wondering because I suffer from disabling vertigo ALL the time and it has lasted for years. I have been to doc all over the counrty and I am the worst case they have ever seen. PM me if you want to talk and get support from someone who has been there and is still there.
I KNOW HOW SICK YOU FEEL

Gosh, I've had it several years. Yes I can drive, and yes sometimes I stumble but don't fall. I can be watching TV and all of the sudden the room will spin and I'm not even moving! I don't drink or do drugs (except for perscribed) either!

I get dizzy all the time when walking. I can't look at certain fabrics because they won't stay still.

has your hearing been affected? I can't drive, I have had it for 22 years. It was 1st the right ear that caused the vertigo and I was bedridden for 18 months crawling to the bathroom then it got a little better for a few years then it returned for about 2 years and once again got better but 5 years ago my left year was affected and I haven't been able to leave the house since then. I am always dizzy but then have BAD attacks of vertigo. Your balance is your ears then your eyes and then the soles of your feet. if something vibrates under my feet I loose muscle control and go right down. I have NO balance system at all. I was in a wheelchair for awhile and the doc never thought I would get out of it by balance is soooooooooo bad. I had surgery but it didn't help. I too don't drink or do drugs I am not on any meds because nothing helped the vertigo. I have where the room spins or things look wavey, but more often it is the inside of my head that whips around and around sometimes everything is white if I open my eyes. There is no cure for me, I would like to go out or drive but it is impossible I get really depressed. I couldn't even go to the hospital when DD was in ICU that says how bad I am. Funny I can't look at certain fabrics too. Pin dots is one it make me feel like I am falling over to look at it. But life goes on I do the best I can.

deleted....... the above got printed twice

sewnsewer2 03-03-2010 09:42 PM

OMG true, I am so sorry. Mine isn't that bad.

I always thought it had to do with my eyes, not my ears. Hummm.

Stripes (tiny ones) and tiny dots make my head spin. So does bargellos. Whoa, I can look at one and I almost fall over, even when I am sitting!
