I like the first option better. There is something about the green against the blue border in the second one that I find displeasing. The first one looks elegant.

May I suggest an option 3? The floral border against the blue, followed by a piano key border of all the fabrics, then bind in either green or blue.

I don't have a preference as they both look very similar to me.It is a very attractive idea.
