haha no, it was 72. all together. Funny thing is our thrift store has a division next to the store for "high end" items. Which basically means anything they think they can jack the price up on they send there. The teapot was at the high end place. The sewing machine was at the actual thrift store.

I have the same machine and I call it "the animal" because it will stitch through most anything like butter. I use it for denim and other things. Enjoy.

No, you did not get ripped off! Your machine is worth one million dollars and will work more reliably than any newer plastic machine! (I use a 1941 Singer, which looks a lot like yours, almost every day---while my newer machines sit and gather dust!) Good buy!
