When you put the clamp back onto the needle bar, see how the tiny piece fits in, just like a puzzle piece?

Another couple of shots...I hope this helps!

The cabinet is lovely, the machine is......lol....It is so neat how these machines can be brought back to life. Show us when you are done. Mine is in really great shape but I haven't used it in a long while.

Wow. Candace, I do not think my 319 needle clamp looks like that. I will take pics and post when I can. I have to go to my mom's dr. appointment tomorrow, to get all her test results, and hope for anything good to come out of it.

Thank you so much Candace and yes I did lose that little end screw.
BUT I did get that puzzle back together once I saw how the little THINGY went in. I must have spent an hour trying to get that one together. Then once I saw your picture it took mere moments. |

Thinking good thoughts for you... Maybe a different machines needle clamp was switched out on yours? Both of my 319's had the same exact clamp system.
Haven't had a chance to look at the 319. I may just be crazy. LOL |
Well, this IS pathetic. I put in a needle in the not all there needle clamp. Then I put a bobbin in the bobbin holder with a couple burrs still on it and stuck it in the machine, threaded it up and low and behold Mr. Ed stitches. No motor mind you but there are perfect stitches - well on the top.... On the bottom are big fat loops. SSSOOOO I have to go look up my own information on tensions so I can fix it. That machine turns real nice now and I was able to make a zig zag stitch. It's coming along. http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...s-t170748.html link to the tension information... I have to test this out once in a while to make sure the stuff I post does any good.

Had a double post here. Seems like the board is mighty slow today. At any rate you are doing a great job cleaning up your lady. Did you name her yet?
